Freejump Airbag Vest

Certified Safety.
The FREEJUMP AIRBAG vest is a protective vest designed specifically for equestrian sports to protect vital parts of the rider in the event of a fall. The vest can be worn over a thin layer of clothing (T-shirt, sweatshirt or light sweater) or over a jacket.

France is the first country to adopt a standard regulating the manufacture of equine airbags as personal protective equipment (PPE). Pending European harmonization, the NF S72-800-2022 standard provides enhanced protection by defining strict criteria for the protection surface, inflation speed and impact tests.

The FREEJUMP AIRBAG vest is the first equestrian airbag vest certified to this standard. It achieves the required pressure and full inflation for optimal protection in just 98 milliseconds (for size S), exceeding the requirements of the standard. In addition to meeting safety standards, the FREEJUMP AIRBAG is distinguished by its ability to withstand horizontal impacts while providing exceptional protection against longitudinal impacts along the spine.

Optimized protection zone(s).
The FREEJUMP AIRBAG provides optimal protection for the neck, back, lumbar region (low back area L1 to L5), sacrum, pelvis and chest. It takes into account the use of a certified riding helmet and includes a stabilizing neck brace to protect the spine and vital areas.

The protection for the neck, chest and back is tailored to each size, covering 24% of the chest circumference and 100% of the waist-to-shoulder length for the chest, and 20% of the chest circumference and 120% of the waist-to-shoulder length for the back.

Lateral protection ensures perfect torso alignment, while the spine, pelvis, hips and vital organs receive enhanced protection through two torso heights for sizes XS, S, M and L, available in regular or extended versions.

Comfort and performance.
The FREEJUMP AIRBAG vest is made of soft Italian fabric and features perforated sides for exceptional comfort and ventilation. The fitted cut and design with flexible materials ensure optimal protection and maximum comfort. 
The safety lanyard features a textile loop to prevent noise when it comes in contact with the ball lanyard carabiner.

Compatibility.
The FREEJUMP AIRBAG vest is designed to be worn both over and under a, compatible jacket. The NF S-72-800-2022 standard requires an official compatibility test by CRITT for all jackets worn over an airbag. The FREEJUMP AIRBAG vest has been tested by CRITT and guarantees its compliance and safety. 

Pending a possible update of the standard during European harmonization, FREEJUMP guarantees that all jackets certified to NF S72-800-2022 and compatible with airbags of other brands are also compatible with FREEJUMP Airbag vests. 

The proper operation of the FREEJUMP Airbag vest is guaranteed with any compatible jacket, as long as the cable comes out of the bottom of the jacket (and not through a specially designed hole).

Sizes and personal fit.
The FREEJUMP Airbag vest is available in children's sizes S and L, and adult sizes ranging from XXS to XXL, with two options for sizes XS to L: regular or long (indicated as "T" in the size) for a perfect fit even for tall individuals. Size XS in the long version, for example, is called XST.
Children's sizes S and L are suitable for children who weigh at least 25 kg and are at least 130 cm tall. Starting with size XXS, the FREEJUMP Airbag vest is designed for individuals who are at least 1.45 meters tall and weigh at least 35 kg.

Easy readjustment.
The gas cartridge of the FREEJUMP Airbag vest is the most efficient on the market, being the smallest and lightest of its kind. The reset process is simplified thanks to a guide in the cap during unscrewing, and the design of the cap prevents it from getting lost during screwing. The ball retention clip ensures safe and easy reattachment of the key ball cord.

Cartridges/ gas cartridges.
The FREEJUMP Airbag vest uses FREEJUMP cartridges available in three sizes: 50cc for children's sizes S and L, 60cc for sizes XXS to L, and 85cc for sizes LT to XXL.
To ensure optimal safety, it is critical to use only new FREEJUMP cartridges of the same volume.

Warranty.
The FREEJUMP Airbag vest comes standard with a two-year European warranty. By registering the vest on the FREEJUMP website, you will receive a two-year extension, bringing the total warranty to four years and including a free full inspection within the first two years from the date of purchase.

Each FREEJUMP Airbag vest is individually tested before it leaves the workshop.

1. In case of damage or abnormalities, do not attempt to repair or use the airbag vest and contact our customer service department before any further use.
2. Even if the two-year warranty has expired, return the airbag vest every two years for a functional check and preventive maintenance.
3. Regularly check the condition of the vest: no perforation, full cartridge, cartridge fully screwed in, reloading according to specifications, etc.
4. In case of stains, moisten the area and gently rub the dirty spot with a sponge and a clean cloth. Let it dry on a hanger, away from heat sources and out of the sun!
5. Store the airbag vest in a clean place, away from moisture and sunlight. Do not leave the airbag vest in direct sunlight, under the windshield or in a car.
6. To ensure the proper function of the airbag vest:
- Do not wash or dry it in a machine.
- Do not use detergent.
- Do not iron it.
- Do not dry clean.
